About Burlington Mayor Steve Sexton

It has been a privilege to serve as your Mayor for 12 years. Together, we have made significant progress in enhancing our city, despite facing various challenges over time. In the last four years, the COVID-19 pandemic was a significant hurdle, affecting individuals and cities. Nevertheless, I am pleased that we have emerged from this crisis as a stronger and more stable city government. By all accounts, the City of Burlington is in a better position than we were 4 years ago. No longer am I working with the City Council to manage emergencies but to implement initiatives that will enhance the lives of our residents, visitors, and businesses. In this update, I will discuss our current status and future plans. As any leader knows, the strength of an organization lies in its people. The City of Burlington has an excellent team of individuals who are passionate about our city and committed to achieving great things. Without their trust and support, I would not have been able to accomplish anything.
